Divya Sharma, a famous teen gamer who broadcasts her skills through the streaming site Glitch, depends on the sponsorships she gets to help her single mom pay their rent. She meets Aaron Jericho, an aspiring game writer, as they immerse themselves in the world of a massive multiplayer online game called Reclaim the Sun. When a group of trolls starts harassing Divya online and in the real world, Aaron—who just might be close to his big break in the industry—feels powerless to help his new friend. Written in alternating perspectives, this fast-paced, empathetic novel sheds necessary light on the dangers of sexism, racism, and toxic masculinity online and off. Ages 13 and up. In conversation with Robin Talley.
