What can I bring on my tour of the White House?

Visitors over age 18 must have valid, government-issued photo ID to enter. They can bring wallets, keys, and umbrellas. Smart phones and compact cameras are allowed for taking still photos only. Video cameras are not permitted and visitors may not use their cell phones (except for taking photos) during their tour. The White House does not offer any storage facilities, so don't bring any purses, backpacks, strollers, or other baggage.

What Rooms does the Tour take you through?

Public tours take visitors on a self-guided journey in select areas of the East Wing and the Residence. On the Ground Floor, visitors will travel through the East Garden Room, the Library, the Center Hall, the China Room, and the Vermeil Room. On the State Floor, visitors can see the Entrance Hall, the State Dining Room, the Cross Hall, the Red Room, the Old Family Dining Room, the Green Room, the Blue Room, and the East Room.
